The Panorama is a suburb of Thessaloniki . According to the 2011 census, it has 17,444 inhabitants. Until 31-12-2010, it was a municipality of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki of the Central Macedonia Region . Under the Law 3852/2010 ” Kallikratis Program “, the municipality of Panorama joined the municipalities of Hortiatis and Pylea, constituting the new single municipality of Pilea – Hortiatis, which started operating on 1-1-2011 and is based in Panorama.
It is located east of Thessaloniki , at the foot of Hortiatis and at an altitude of 250 meters.
Panorama is divided into the following areas:
Ano Panorama (Old Panorama)
Law 751 (Agios Panteleimon or Lower Panorama)
New Panorama
Platanakia.
It is located in the Thessaloniki residential area and at an altitude of 250 meters. Due to the location of the city and its natural beauty it is considered one of the most privileged areas of the wider region. It spreads over an area of 33,000 acres, in a forest, with a panoramic view of the thermal bay at a distance of 14 kilometers from Thessaloniki.
