Xanthi is the city of Thrace, the capital of the homonymous prefecture. Built at the foot of the Rodopi Mountains, at the beginning of the plain, which extends to the south to the Thracian Sea.
The Municipality of Xanthi is one of the 4 Municipalities of Xanthi Regional Unity.
Xanthi is the commercial and spiritual center of the region and one of its characteristic features is the multiculturalism and the harmonious coexistence of the Christian and Muslim elements.

The tobacco warehouses that have been preserved to date are characterized by architectural “mates” that tell the old glories and the economic bloom of the city and the region.
The city of Xanthi is at the center of the urban centers of northeastern Greece, which constitute a network of sites charged with a particular natural, ecological, historical, archaeological and cultural interest.
This axis of the urban centers is essentially the axis of road communication with Eastern Thrace (Turkey) and the Black Sea (Black Pontus) and can be considered part of the historical road that connects Thessaloniki with Constantinople and Thessaloniki with the west coast of the Balkans (Egnatia-Nea Egnatia).
From the ends of the axis and along specific valleys (Serres-Strymonas, Nestos, Alexandroupolis-Evros) there are road connections to Bulgaria, the northern Balkans and central and eastern Europe respectively.
The main infrastructure of the wider area is Egnatia Odos and the two main routes of connection with Bulgaria that are in progress, the two airports of “Kavala” and “Alexandroupolis”, the ports of Alex, Kavala and P. Lagos. WP of urban centers, large hydroelectric projects in N. Dramas.

Our staff will wear a face covering inside the taxis and all private-hired cars for the duration of your journey. Our driver will use hand satinizer before and after any transaction or contact with your luggage etc. In Greece, it is the law that you must wear either a face covering or face mask even if you are vaccinated inside the taxis or private hired cars. Exemptions include people who have medical issues (trouble breathing, unability to wear a mask properly etc), children under the age of three (3) or you have any other legitamate reason not to – however please note that proof maybe requested by local authorities. Our drivers treat everyone with respect and compassion and understand if it is not immediately obvious that some people are not able to wear face covering for medical reasons.

From Wednesday 1st of June 2022 and after, Greek state decided and it is the law now that:
– Masks are NOT mandatory anymore INDOORS. This means that you DON’T have to wear a facemask anymore, if you want to visit a coffee shop, a restaurant, a beach bar, a shop, hotel or supermarket.
– You MUST wear a mask, if you visit the following places: public hospital, pharmacy, private clinic, doctor’s office, medical centre, retirement and nursing home. You must also wear a mask, when using public transportation (public bus, taxi, chauffeurred-driven vehicles etc)
