Sindos is a town of the regional unit of Thessaloniki, the seat of the municipal unit of Echedoros and the municipality of Delta. It has a real population of 9,289 inhabitants (2011).
Sindos is located west of Thessaloniki at a distance of 14 km and 2 km west of the Gallikos River. North of the Atoll, a short distance away, lies the Industrial Zone of Thessaloniki, one of the largest industrial areas in Greece. In the town, there are also the facilities of Alexandrio Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki.
