About Posidi
The resort village of Posidi is one of the most beautiful destinations in Kassandra. Situated in the West coast of Halkidiki’s Kassandra peninsula, offering a stunninig view of Thermaukis Gulf and Mount Olympus across the sea. The crystal clear waters of Possidi, many times hosts dolphins.
Possidi village has been named like this probably by the name of the God Poseidon. You can go sighsteeing to the ruins of the ancient sanctuary dedicated to God Poseidon. There is also a lighthouse of Possidi cape from the last century where you can visit and take some photos with the view.
Possidi has three beaches, two of which are organized. The largest in length and width, but also the most popular among the general public is the “Aegean Sea” beach, which extends to the right of the cape from the camps of the Aristotle University to the “Aegean Sea” settlement, from which it took its name her. It is sandy with characteristic blue waters. The second is the beach in front of the holiday settlement of Posidio and is organized by the beach bars and seaside hotels. It extends to the right to the cape of Posidio. The third, less well-known beach is the “Mytis” beach, in front of the Cape Lighthouse. It is a natural phenomenon of sand deposition on the cape and is of unique beauty.
