About Nea Iraklitsa
Nea Iraklitsa is undoubtedly the most picturesque tourist resort of the prefecture of Kavala with wonderful sea and belongs to the municipality of Eleftheres, 16 km west of Kavala. Nea Iraklitsa, along with Nea Peramos, is the best destination for a summer holiday in the Municipality of Eleutheros, while you can visit the privately owned island of Fidonissi and Arethousa, located opposite the area.
The New Iraklitsa has a fully-equipped marina that offers the opportunity to stay on recreational craft according to the international safety and service standards. This attracts everyone who has a boat as they do not miss the opportunity to explore the caves in Fidonissi and Panagia.
The Municipality of Eleftheres has an impressive coastline. It stretches over 50 km and consists of a variety of beaches that satisfy all tastes. The organized beaches have beach bars and the area has been adapted for water sports. Those who are not organized enjoy tranquility while the clear waters and the fine sand travel the visitor in an idyllic and carefree world !!
In addition to your swim, you can enjoy your morning or afternoon coffee at one of the available beachfront shops. It is worth noting that in 2007 the beach of Nea Iraklitsa was awarded for the first time with the Blue Flag for its clear waters. One of the most interesting destinations for your summer swimming is Ammolofi beach, which is a short distance from Nea Iraklitsa and has stunning sand and sea.
